The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has worked tenaciously to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and stateless people worldwide by:

Since 1950, UNHCR has helped tens of millions of people restart their lives. Today, we continue to help and protect millions of people, included internally displaced people (IDPs), asylum seekers, refugees , returnees, children, women and elderly people.
